Full time, 2 Permanent Staff Vacancies for
TRACTION & ROLLING STOCK DEPARTMENT MANAGER
HEAD OF PERMANENT WAY
The Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust operates East Anglia’s longest heritage railway which currently runs between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey, with plans to restore the line northwards to North Elmham and County School.
Due to the continued success of the railway, we are currently looking to employ a Professional Head of Permanent Way and a Traction & Rolling Stock Department Manager. The successful applicants will be expected to hold relevant professional qualifications and to be able to demonstrate previous experience, preferably having had time working within a volunteer organisation.
The jobs will require both a hands-on approach and office time in order to maintain and develop the railway’s records and paperwork, along with developing the railway’s volunteer skill base and competencies.
These posts are full time, based in Dereham, Norfolk, and include weekend and unsociable hours working. They may suit someone approaching retirement who wishes a new challenge, but also someone earlier in their career who wants to expand their horizons. Remuneration will be based on experience.
