Once again the MNR are holding an exhibition at Neatherd High School, Dereham, NR20 3AX, as seen in the March edition of British Railway Modelling. This year's event is being organised jointly by the MNR and Flying Pigs Large Scale Railway Modellers. However our exhibition will not have larger scales than 'O' gauge. Societies and demonstrations will be attending as well as exhibits and traders listed below.
Main parking will, as usual, be at Dereham Station with a free shuttle bus operating between the station and Neatherd High School, since there is very limited parking at the school. Travellers from Norwich can catch the Konnect Express bus which runs from Thorpe Road (outside the railway station) and Norwich bus station every half hour and stops close to the school. Refreshments will be available at the school.
Layouts booked are: Alex Bridge; Bankfield Road; Brenlyn; Crickey; Dragonby; Grumstick and Dipplewick; Grandad's Trains; Martin's Sidings; Melbury; Nibley Knoll; Poulter Bank; Purcell; Tobyham; Vintage Clockwork Trains; and Zevendaal. Traders booked to attend are: Andrew Ingram Photographs; Bob Pearman Books; Coastal DCC; David Green; Glomart Displays; H&A Models; Keith's Model Railways: Jessica Bull Artwork; Joe Lock Model Railways; Magpie Scale Models; M&B Models; Modeller's Mate; Railway Memories; S M Models; Electronix Connections; and Flordon Films.
Also attending will be a group bringing Lego, for children to help build a track and run trains on it. This has been very successful at other exhibitions, encouraging children into the hobby.
The Exhibition opens at 10am and closes at 4pm. This year adults will be charged £5 admission, with accompanied children under 14 years gaining free entry.
